By accessing or using Comment Gang (the "Site"), you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. What Comment Gang Is
Comment Gang is a discovery feed that aggregates and ranks publicly available top-level YouTube comments from Indian content creators. Comments are fetched from the YouTube Data API v3 and displayed for entertainment, discovery, and archival purposes. The Site is read-only — there is no user registration, no comment submission, and no interactive social functionality for visitors.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Site. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
3. Permitted Use
You may use Comment Gang for personal, non-commercial browsing and discovery. In doing so, you agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or automatically harvest content from the Site in a way that places unreasonable load on our servers or circumvents our rate limits.
- Use the Site to build a competing product or service that republishes our aggregated content at scale without permission.
- Attempt to access the admin interface (
/admin/) without authorisation. - Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or YouTube's Terms of Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Site.
Reasonable search-engine crawling and personal archival are permitted subject to our robots.txt directives.
4. Content Ownership & Attribution
All comments displayed on Comment Gang were written by their respective authors and posted publicly on YouTube. All videos and channel content belong to their respective creators. Comment Gang does not claim ownership of any third-party content displayed on the Site.
Every comment and video page links back to the original content on YouTube. We present this content under the terms permitted by the YouTube Data API Terms of Service and YouTube's fair-use policies for public data.
Comment Gang's own original assets — its name, logo, interface design, and code — are owned by us and may not be reproduced without permission.
5. YouTube's Terms Apply
All content displayed on this Site originates from YouTube. Your use of this Site is also subject to:
6. No User Accounts or User-Generated Content
Comment Gang does not offer public user accounts, logins, comment submission, ratings, or any interactive social features. The Site is purely a read-only aggregation of public data. You cannot post, vote, flag, or otherwise contribute content through this Site.
7. Content Removal
We respect the rights of YouTube commenters and creators over their own content. If you want content removed from Comment Gang, email us at hello@commentgang.com with the page URL and reason. We aim to process removal requests within 7 days.
We also reserve the right to hide or remove any content at our sole discretion — for example, if it appears abusive, spam, or has been deleted from YouTube.
8. Accuracy of Information
Comment data (like counts, reply counts, video view counts) is fetched periodically and may not reflect real-time YouTube data. Comment text reflects what was publicly available at the time of ingestion. We do not guarantee that displayed data is accurate, current, or complete.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Comment Gang is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no warranty about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content on the Site.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Comment Gang and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Site or any content on it. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed INR 0 (the Site is free to use).
11. Third-Party Links
The Site contains links to YouTube videos, channels, and third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party site. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk.
